Folkestone Hythe & District Model Railway Club is looking for NEW MEMBERS so why don’t you join us on Monday and Wednesday evenings?

What scale(s) or gauge(s) interest you?

Which era or railway company do you prefer?

Do you use digital sound?

Do you like to model scenery, weather & detail the rolling stock or are you interested in the electrical & electronic/digital side of the hobby?

Or are you interested in everything?

All ages and skills are welcome and we have something to interest everyone.

Come along for a club evening session to meet us and see what projects we have under construction. As a member you can learn new skills and techniques, or share your own! Help us in the construction, operation and maintenance of the club layouts, a few of which are larger than would fit in most homes!

Help out on running days and at our next exhibition! We have a number of high-quality layouts and a few are invited to attend exhibitions other than our own.

We have a number that are under construction including a British outline N-gauge, a dual OO and 009 gauge brewery scene with a London Underground line!

And let’s not forget our large Southern third rail DCC layout and the new modular test track specifically for testing rolling stock and locomotives. The test track includes two TT:120 circuits, with which, with some rolling stock (courtesy of Hornby) it is hoped to encourage an additional scale to our portfolio.

We meet on Wednesday evenings at our clubroom and workshop in Broomfield Rd, Cheriton (Folkestone) and on Mondays our workshop (Tappendens) is open.
